DO NOT ATTACK ANYONE ON THE ALLIES LIST UNLESS THEY ARE INACTIVE AND YOU HAVE CLEARED IT WITH OUR DIPLOMAT.

Note to all NEW members:

(1) Rules for Pillaging
(2) Rules for Talking with Other Non-Alliance Players, a.k.a., Diplomacy
(3) Rules for Growth

PILLAGING
Unless otherwise corrected by Abracax, Lee, or Robbob, assume the following as standard rules for pillaging:

1) Attacking Inactive players is not only allowed, it is highly encouraged. This is the best and fastest way to increase in power, ranking, etc. Go ahead, test your metal!

2) Attacking ACTIVE players is allowed, though at this point, if you start a war, you're on your own unless the other side makes grossly unreasonable demands upon you when really, you did nothing wrong.

3) Attacking ACTIVE alliances--or individual members of any alliance--is allowed, but see #2 for consequences to your decisions. If you attack them and they get their alliance on you, don't come crying to us for help. In fact, we may vote as leaders and kick you out.

4) Attacking INACTIVE members of alliances with whom we have an established peace IS ALLOWED. In fact, most of these alliances (not all) have given us permission to do so. We have given THEM permission to do so on all ALPHA/EASY/FOX Company members.

5) If those members come back from inactive status, let them know why you attacked them (they were inactive), and that you'll stop until they go inactive again.

6) It is highly recommended you send the person you're pillaging (if they are inactive) a message telling them you will STOP pillaging them if and when they return to active status, and that you may even return some of the pillaged resources. This is recommended because it is a good way to increase 101st recruitment/membership, and because we don't want you, as a player, bringing a stench upon the 101st.

It is the burden of all players to either play the game or go in vacation mode. We'll do our best to defend you should the now-active again player complains to his alliance, and begins a war. This has happened in the past, but we have always prevailed Diplomatically in such situations.

DIPLOMACY
1) At no time, trash talk other players.
2) If you speak with other players, and if you are not respectful, there may be a vote among leadership to kick you out.
3) At any time, if it is discovered that you are causing problems or straining relations between this alliance--or you--and other players and alliances, there will likely be a vote to kick you out.
4) If at any time a problem arises between you and other players, try to resolve it yourself so long as you don't violate the 1st 2 rules. If you fail, message the Diplomat IMMEDIATELY, and cease all communications.
5) War only occurs after a vote of the leadership. Don't presume to send troops unless informed by the General.

GROWTH AND EXPANSION
1) We want you to become powerful militarily as well as economically. The fastest way to do this is to buy up resources in your trading post and use them to upgrade your palace and governor's mansions (GM's), and plant new colonies. Beware of corruption, however.
2) You should follow these steps, which have been tried and tested to be the fastest and easiest way to upgrade buildings and power:

a) Pillage inactive players for resources.
b) Use those resources to build and upgrade.
c) POST ON THE FORUM TELLING US WHAT YOU NEED. We'd prefer to make 1:1 trades, but we're happy to give you things that you need as well.
d) Your Generals score must equal a minimum 1% of your total score. This is to ensure you are less of a target and in times of war you can defend yourself before help arrives.
e) You are encouraged to donate to island resources. If you have not donated and you get pillaged because of it, the alliance will not step in to help unless the aggressor is unreasonable about the donation required.

This alliance is a great alliance. Follow the rules above to keep it orderly and organized, and powerful in wartime and peace.

FOR THOSE THAT DID NOT GET THE UNDERLYING THEME IN OUR RULES AND GUIDELINES HERE IS THE BIGGEST THING YOU WILL LEARN:

THE 101ST DOES NOT BACK STUPIDITY, YOU ACT WITHOUT THINKING OR IMPULSIVELY WITHOUT ANY DISREGARD FOR OUTCOME AND YOU WILL BE LEFT TO FEND FOR YOURSELF, YOU WILL BE FED TO THE LIONS.
