MEDAL OF HONOR

Next (higher) medal: none
Next (lower) medal: Silver Star

DESCRIPTION:
The Medal of Honor is the highest award given by 101st Airborne Division.

It is bestowed only on members of the 101st Airborne Division who distinguish themselves conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at great personal risk and beyond regular call of duty while engaged in action(s) against an enemy of the 101st Airborne Division. Verifiable proof is needed, and requires one or more of the following:

* Significant loss of men and materiel in an amount greater than 70% of total amounts during times of declared war
* Willful engagement of an overwhelming enemy force on behalf of the alliance during times of declared war
* Willfully leaving the alliance(s) in a successful effort to divert (superior) enemy arms away from other alliance members

If more than one are verified, and attached "V" is given to the medal to denote the Medal of Honor with Valor, or MH-V.

The Medal of Honor is awarded by Founding Members, and their Successors, of the 101st Airborne Division in the name of all branches of the alliance.
